Ferdinand Van Sickelen born 9 Jan 1738 at Hunterdon Co., New Jersey and was baptised 9 June 1738 at Readington, New Jersey, a son of Reynier Van Sickelen and Christina his wife. Page 217 Somerset County Historical Quarterly. v.4 1915. [1]Readington Church, Records, 1720-1870[2]

Ferdinand is named as a son in his father's will dated 31 August 1749 in Reading, NJ. [3]

Ferdinand Van Sickelen is DAR Patriot Ancestor #: A118928. He was a Gunner (a Private) serving with Captain Seward, Colonel Thaddeus Crane Crane-2115 in the 4th Westchester New York Militia. His wives: 1) Unknown 2) Phoebe Fisher. [4]
